This is a small business website, not a secret data empire. We collect as little personal information as we reasonably can and use it only when there is a sensible reason—usually because you contacted us, created an account, left a comment, or because the website needs routine technical information to work and remain secure.
If you spot a mysterious cookie or server log, it is much more likely to be WordPress, our hosting platform, or a security tool doing ordinary website chores than us plotting anything sinister. That does not make it “not our problem”: tell us and we will investigate it.

What information might exist?
Although we do not go looking for personal information, a working website can still process a small amount of it:

- Comments you choose to leave. The comment, name and any approved public profile information may appear publicly.

- Cookies needed for login, security, preferences and ordinary WordPress operation. Embedded services or optional website features may also set their own cookies.
We do not intentionally collect special-category information through this website. Please do not send us sensitive personal information unless there is a genuine need and we have agreed a secure way to receive it.
What do we do with it?

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not create advertising profiles. We do not send your details to random marketing companies. Frankly, we have better things to do.
Who might process it?

Pages may link to or embed content from other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, cookies and opinions about data. Once you visit them, their rules apply rather than ours.

How long do we keep information?

Account and comment information may remain while the account or comment exists. Routine logs and backups are retained according to our operational and service-provider retention cycles, then overwritten or deleted.
If you ask us to delete something, we will do so where we can, unless there is a genuine legal, security or administrative reason to keep it.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you the right to ask what information we hold, receive a copy, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or object to what we are doing. You may also withdraw consent where our use depends on consent.
Email sales@x9000.com and tell us what you need. We may ask for enough information to confirm that you are really you—not because we are being difficult, but because giving your data to somebody else would be a particularly poor privacy policy.

Security and data mishaps
We keep the amount of data low, maintain the website and use security tools to reduce the chance of anything going wrong. No internet-connected system is invincible, unfortunately—not even one maintained by nice people.
If we discover a serious personal-data incident, we will investigate, limit the damage, notify affected people when required, and report it to the relevant authority when the law says we must.
The final reassurance
We are not interested in your data. We are interested in keeping the website working, answering genuine enquiries and getting on with our actual jobs. If that ever changes, we will update this page rather than quietly growing an underground data laboratory.
